Pepperoni pizza baked on a crisp flatbread with melty mozzarella, just as good as your favorite pizza without all the unwanted fat!
Let’s not for get this can also be a non-meat eaters choice by opting for a cheese version which will also save you a few calories ;)
As much as I love pizza of course I couldn't keep it out of the mix! Everyone knows how challenging a healthy life style can be, with that being said I always try and put different spins on things to keep myself motivated and not feeling deprived of the things I love. That quickly lead me on a search to find a pizza alternative and I did not stop until my mission was complete. I know we all want to be the best versions of ourselves so i'm here to help.
1 La Tortilla Factory Low Carb Whole Wheat Tortilla (45 cal.) or 1 Flatout Italian herb flatbread (90 cal.)
1/4 ounces Kraft 2% milk Mozzarella
3 tablespoons marinara
1 pinch of dried oregano (optional)
1 pinch of crushed red pepper (optional)
17 slices turkey pepperoni
Note: click on times in the instructions to start a kitchen timer while cooking.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Lay which ever base you are using on to a piece of aluminum foil and bake for 2 min in order to crisp
while crisping, in a small bowl mix your seasoning with the marinara sauce
flip your base to the opposite side and spread your sauce
Add the mozzarella cheese, then pepperoni
Top with oregano and crushed red pepper
Bake for 5-7 minutes, until bubbly hot and browned
Let sit for 2-3 minutes before eating
